TEKsystems Cable Technician in Hanahan, South Carolina

Job Title: Cable Technician

Location: Hanahan, SC

Job Type: Full-Time; 6 month contract to hire

Salary: $23-$24/HR

Compliance: Drug screen and background check required.

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and reliable Cable Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing cable systems for residential and commercial customers. This role requires a strong understanding of cable technology, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair cable systems, including internet, television, and phone services.

  • Perform site surveys to determine the best installation practices.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with cable systems and equipment.

  • Ensure all installations meet company standards and customer requirements.

  • Test and inspect cable lines to ensure proper functioning.

  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer concerns and questions.

  • Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and service calls.

  • Follow safety protocols and company policies at all times.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a related field is a plus.

  • Proven experience as a Cable Technician or similar role.

  • Strong knowledge of cable installation, maintenance, and repair techniques.

  • Familiarity with various cable systems and equipment.

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

  • Strong communication and customer service skills.

  • Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
