Security Installation Technician Small privately owned company looking to hire a technician to provide service to customers in Eastern Virginia. Sells, installs, programs, maintains, or repairs various makes of CCTV/video surveillance and access control equipment and associated components, wiring, etc. for residential and commercial customers. Also assists with security alarm systems, fire alarm systems and intercom systems as needed.

• Installs, maintains or repairs related equipment. Examines, tests, adjusts or modifies equipment to locate problems, enhance equipment performance or to respond to customer requests.
• Builds and maintains effective professional relationship with clients. Consults with clients to assess risks and to determine security requirements. Educates client on company products and services by suggesting updates in services or equipment as needed. Submits written proposals and follows up with client. Managing and growing existing accounts.
• Responds to inquiries from clients, vendors, manufacturers of equipment and fellow employees with clear and prompt communication. Communication required may be in person, or by phone, email, or text message. Provides proactive assistance and support.
• Submission of work orders, inventory counts and other administrative tasks pertaining to the position.

Job Qualifications

• A United States citizen or legal resident alien of the United States.

• Have a valid Driver's License.

• Must be reliable.

• Current DCJS registration a plus.

• • If not currently registered with Virginia DCJS.
    • Successful completion of training class under the appropriate categories of the private security services program is required for the successful applicant within first 90 days.
  • Pre-employment background check by Virginia DCJS.
