Your Role:
As the Enhancement Estimator, you’ll be an integral part of the Estimating Team, working directly on the landscape side of our commercial construction projects. Your focus will be on delivering accurate estimates for landscaping enhancements, which may include site development, hardscaping, softscaping, irrigation systems, and other related landscape services. Your attention to detail will ensure that CSL Group continues to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions that enhance outdoor spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
Take Ownership of Estimating Systems: Implement and maintain CSL Group’s construction estimating and tendering procedures specific to landscaping projects.
Work with Suppliers & Sub-Contractors: Engage with landscape sub-trades, material suppliers, and specialized service providers to gather accurate pricing for materials and services.
Conduct Quantity Take-Offs for Landscaping: Prepare accurate quantity take-offs for landscaping elements such as plants, soils, trees, pavers, and irrigation systems.
Bid Preparation: Assist in preparing bid documents for landscape enhancement projects, ensuring the scope, materials, and labor are accurately captured.
Build & Maintain Relationships: Develop lasting relationships with landscape sub-contractors, vendors, and suppliers, while actively seeking new quality vendors for future projects.
Monitor Trends & Risks: Stay ahead of pricing trends in the landscaping industry, offering insights to the Estimating Team on market conditions and how they could impact bid pricing.
Collaborate Across Teams: Attend site meetings, support bid openings, and work closely with the project management team to ensure seamless project delivery and client satisfaction.
Qualifications:
2-5 years of experience in landscaping estimating or project coordination.
Degree or diploma in Landscaping, Horticulture, Engineering, or Building and Construction Sciences is preferred.
Technical knowledge of landscaping practices, including site work, hardscaping, softscaping, and irrigation systems. Field experience is an asset.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and estimating software (Planswift knowledge is a plus).
Ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure, and deliver results on time.
