Director - Manufacturing Engineering The Position The Director of Manufacturing Engineering will lead the Manufacturing Engineering (ME) team in implementing new process technology, facilitating new product introductions, and reducing waste through process improvements. The selected candidate will promote a culture of Lean Thinking, process standardization, and safety across our facilities. This role requires 60% to 65% travel. Why Should You Apply? About the role: Management: Manage the ME team to ensure the proper focus on technical and process related problems across all facilities while fostering opportunities for continuous development of direct reports. Project Management: Provide proper support for all identified projects. Capital Projects: Support the development, justification and implementation of capital projects. Technology: Facilitate technology advancements that include new product and process introduction and manufacturing improvements to reduce waste. Lean Thinking: Facilitate a culture of "Lean Thinking" to include process standardization, setup reduction, and flow layout that results in lower operating cost. Safety: Promote established safety initiatives and assist in the development of methods and practices that are focused on improving safety. Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Manufacturing Engineer or Engineering Manager. Mechanical Engineering or related engineering degree; Associates degree required, Bachelors degree preferred. Excellent mechanical aptitude. Strong project management skills with demonstrated experience in planning, coordinating, execution and follow-up. Detail-oriented and data-driven. Process mapping and analysis skills and experience.
