Bedford, Freeman & Worth Publishing Group Sales Development Representative, High School in Hamilton, New Jersey
Working alongside the high school sales team, the Sales Development Representative, High School will be charged with engaging, interacting with and qualifying sales opportunities that will be sent to the appropriate representative for the close. This role will focus on proactively cultivating relationships and opportunities, moving leads through our sales pipeline and driving interest in our materials through vital emails, phone calls and emails. The Sales Development Representative, High School will work closely with sales and marketing leadership as well as manage contractors/support teams to assist in seeing out their vision.Studies have shown that women and people of color are less likely to apply for jobs unless they believe they can perform every job description task. This may include researching information individually, or working with internal colleagues to acquire information.Move opportunities from the 'Prospecting' stage to 'Actively Selling or High Interest.'Build and maintain an accurate pipeline in SFDC including correct contacts, opportunity stage, products, etc.Develop and execute personalized, proactive sales outreach campaigns with the aim of qualifying opportunities.Qualify opportunities by engaging in an initial sales cycle. Activities may include conducting phone conversations, virtual meetings, product demonstrations, or email interactions.Follow up and provide prospects with digital and/or print materials.Qualify / disqualify inbound leads.Ensure all KPIs and metrics are being met on a daily, weekly, monthly basis.Examples include number of outbound calls, booked demonstrations, opportunity movement, etc.Required Qualifications:Strong communication, interpersonal, teamwork, and customer service skills.Good time management and analytical skills.Natural curiosity, resilience and a strong desire to learn.Can work remotely and independently, while still being a part of our team.Is a competitive and creative problem-solver.Preferred Qualifications:Proficiency in GSuite and CRMs.Prior customer service experience.Salary Range: $55,000 - $60,000/yearExemption Status: ExemptPhysical Requirements:Requires periods of close concentration. Must be able to multi-task; must lift 35 lbs. of books on sales calls; must be able to sit for long periods. Must be able to concentrate in noisy/busy environment; must be able to bend and reach to file. Must be able to travel occasionally; work overtime - more than 40 hours a week - as needed. Required to travel to National and Regional Meetings 1-2 times per year (US & Canada).This position is eligible for remote employment, excluding the following locations: Alaska, Arkansas, Hawaii, Mississippi, Nevada, South Dakota, West Virginia, Wyoming.
