Job Overview:
To transport patient from their origin to their destination in a timely manner while ensuring their safety.
Qualifications:
Required:
High School graduate or equivalent
Scheduling Requirements:
- Full Time Day - Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:30pm
Essential Functions:
Transports patients to and from all areas in the Hospital complex including patient care units and Diagnostic testing areas
Responds to call on device from dispatcher and or other staff pertaining to patient transport or messenger needs,
Keeps transport equipment clean and ready for use
Reports all malfunctioning equipment to manager
Use proper body mechanics in transporting patients
Properly identifies ID bands & asking name patient prior to starting transport
Reports to Manager upon arrival at assigned area as well as reporting on completed calls to receive next assignment,
Immediately reports any delays or unusual circumstances to the Manager
Maintains necessary records of transportation/messenger activity including name/item, the time of departure and the time of arrival to designated area
