Amazon Senior Program Manager, Extended Producer Responsibility in Munich, Germany

Description

Our Extended Responsibility Compliance team is looking for a Senior Program Manager to plan and execute large-scale global programs that ensure the compliance our Amazon's businesses and operations.

This role requires working with different business owners across organizations to define the strategy, requirements, and timelines as well as lead complex cross-functional initiatives. This position involves regular communication with senior management on roadmaps, program updates, risks, and change management. The person in this role is a subject matter expert in product compliance, and works with business leaders to overcome obstacles to enable GMS growth and cost reduction efforts.

Key job responsibilities

  • Execute complex multi-disciplinary projects across multiple stakeholder groups.

  • Identify and lead complex initiatives aimed at growing Amazon GMS and/or reducing the operational cost of compliance.

  • Present strategic roadmaps and project reviews to senior leaders across Amazon.

  • Ensure regulatory requirements are met for existing and new products/businesses by understanding product attributes to drive compliance solutions.

  • Work cross-functionally with our legal, business and technical teams to ensure compliance requirements are known and projects are carried out to delivery.

A day in the life

A typical day you may be presenting a project update to senior business leaders; driving a review of a separate project with senior managers from different teams to ensure the group made progress toward the next project milestone; and organizing an internal team meeting to brainstorm ways we can accomplish the needs of a business initiative while also ensuring the solution meets its necessary compliance objectives.

About the team

The Extended Producer Responsibility team in Amazon assesses environmental compliance requirements worldwide and ensures adherence with post-consumer waste regulations. We drive innovative solutions across Amazon that are simple, efficient and scalable. We protect the environment through the adequate collection and recycling of waste for our customers.

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Luxembourg, London, Munich, Berlin, or Gdansk

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience in compliance, audit or risk management

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • Experience developing and implementing of standards, policies and programs or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification

  • Experience leveraging technology and implementing lean principles / Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements or equivalent

  • Master's degree or equivalent
