Your Responsibilities

For our new Decarbonisation unit, we are looking for an enthusiastic technical expert and team player, supporting a vibrant international and growing R&D team:

  • Responsible for developing a strategy to keep existing fleets under water hull condition and hydrodynamic performance in best possible condition

  • Responsible to evaluate existing and emerging technologies for under water hull maintenance and introduction into operation

  • Responsible to engage with under water coating vendors to explore about existing and new coating solutions and to develop paint strategies on a yearly basis for upcoming dry docks

  • Responsible to frequently engage with various departments throughout the organization to coordinate various activities around paint inspections, paint maintenance and finally paint application tasks in dry-dock

  • Responsible to track hull performance with existing analytical tools and recurring in water surveys to trigger actions if necessary

Your Profile

  • Degree in Engineering, Nautical Science or Naval Architecture or similar

  • Professional experience in Ship operation ashore or on board paired with technical project management experience

  • Desirable would be some background knowledge of under water hull paint

  • Very good English language skills & good team spirit

  • Organised and structured person with very good communication skills

  • High level of enthusiasm and curiosity for a new role in a century of fast technical transition
