EFCO Corp., has an immediate full-time opportunity for a qualified hands-on Manufacturing Supervisor - at our Georgetown, ON, Canada facility. Salary is $79,000 - $98,000

Duties:

  • Monitors quality and quantity of products being produced. Creates and administers proper procedures and schedule to maintain appropriate inventory. Completes data entry through EFCO systems to ensure appropriate scheduling.

  • Creates and manages overall inventory control, layout and organization of department. Takes appropriate action when needed to balance customer needs with appropriate inventory levels. Acts as liaison between corporate and warehouse personnel to meet customer objectives.

  • Leads and directs hourly employee functions such as selection, hiring and development of employees, including making salary decisions, conducting performance reviews and creating development plans.

  • Provides training to all hourly personnel to ensure appropriate use of equipment to guarantee that safety guidelines are met and enforced. Evaluates work procedures to determine safety issues including overall responsibility to maintain a safe work environment for production employees.

  • Maintains positive employee relations including motivation and recognition of personnel to produce at required levels to meet production requirements.

  • Performs other job-related duties and special projects are required

    Qualifications:

  • College degree or equivalent. Heavy metal manufacturing experience including familiarity with material handling equipment, would be an asset. Math skills required with ability to read and understand blueprints. Must have the ability to motivate employees and maintain strong work atmosphere. Excellent communication, leadership, problem solving and familiarity with lean methodology required. Must work effectively under pressure, exercise good judgment, and maintain confidentiality. No travel required
