Are you a skilled Maintenance Technician with a passion for keeping manufacturing operations running smoothly?We are looking for a dedicated professional to join our team on the second shift, working from 2 PM to 10 PM, Monday through Friday.

About the Role: As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the health of our facility by diagnosing and resolving maintenance issues to minimize downtime. You will work with a team of professionals, using your expertise to identify long-term solutions and educate the team on best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance tasks across electrical, mechanical, welding (TIG/MIG), hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLC systems using an electronic work order system.

  • Utilize schematics, blueprints, and manuals to test and troubleshoot equipment.

  • Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance and proactively identify parts in need of repair or replacement.

  • Respond swiftly to maintenance issues, providing real-time assistance and communicating major concerns to leadership.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert and coach, sharing your knowledge and fostering long-term solutions for maintenance challenges.

  • Assist in the installation of new equipment, collaborating with vendors, engineers, and production teams.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and inventory management procedures.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.

  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with knowledge in industrial electrical maintenance, mechanical operations, welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLCs.

  • strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.

  • Proficiency in reading schematics and blueprints, and experience with basic computer tasks.

  • Availability for overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical degree in a maintenance-related field.

  • Experience in the corrugated industry and familiarity with operational excellence programs like Lean Six Sigma.

  • Active Boilers License is a plus.

Physical Requirements: This role involves lifting up to 50 pounds, working in hot, humid, and cold environments, and being on your feet for extended periods. You must also be comfortable working at heights and in crowded spaces.

Responsibilities

  • Perform assigned tasks through an electronic work order system within machines centers or equipment in areas of electrical, mechanical operations (drives, rolls and motors), TIG/MIG welding, hydraulics systems, pneumatics systems and program logic & controls (PLCs)

  • Use schematics, blueprints, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions along with manufacturer's instruction manuals to perform testing and troubleshooting in equipment, or systems.

  • Routinely perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PMs) and proactively identify needs for repairs or replacements of parts on machines or equipment

  • Respond to machine centers or specific equipment to provide real time assistance, swift diagnosis of critical maintenance issues, performing repairs, and providing proactive communication to leadership for major maintenance issues

  • Be a peer coach and a subject matter expert to identify long term solutions with specific maintenance issues on machines or equipment, share key learnings to teams and leadership

  • Follow all state requirements for routine maintenance checks on specific equipment

  • Assist in installation activities of new equipment in partnership with outside vendors, engineering, production teams and maintenance leaders

  • Maintain a clean, organized work area by following cleaning processes along with following maintenance inventory management protocols

  • Follow plant safety processes and procedures outlined for machine centers

  • Other duties, as assigned

The essential functions of this role include:

  • working up to 10 hrs of overtime per week
