Kuehne+Nagel Aircraft On Ground (AOG) Expeditor - Weekend Shift in Haltom City, Texas

Kuehne+Nagel is looking for an AOG (Aircraft on Ground) Expeditor at our site in Haltom City, Texas! This is a startup site, so a great deal of flexibility and ease with adapting to rapid changes is essential. #LI-Onsite

Your Role

As an AOG Expeditor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day oversight and coordination of all aspects of AOG shipments in the US and will help support the daily operations of the USA AOG Desk. Initially, you will be trained on Monday - Friday from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. Once you complete your training, you will work Friday, 4:00 am - 4:30 pm, Saturday and Sunday, 6:00 am - 6:30 pm. You will be paid weekly at $25.31 per hour.

Your Responsibilities

  • Analyze and effectively solve problems

  • You will work closely with other departments to deliver a high level of customer service

  • Process incoming customer orders via call or email

  • Ensure timely and accurate input of all the shipment information into our in-house software

  • Determine which airport has the best flight options to meet the customer’s timeline and liaise with the local office at that port

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and deadlines

  • Arrange domestic transport of goods and ensure that the correct transportation methods are used

  • Obtain all required import or export documentation

  • Communicate documentation discrepancies to the Supervisor and client

  • Regularly update the customer or overseas office of the shipment status

  • Immediately convey any delays to management and client

  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Your Skills and Experiences

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 2 years of experience in airfreight

  • Solid knowledge of domestic and international geography including countries, major cities, and airports

  • Basic knowledge of related U.S. Regulatory Laws
