This role will support the Sweden Air Defense Forces (SAF), will be located in Halmstad, Sweden and is contingent upon contract award.
Train, advise, assist, and support the SAF Patriot Missile Air Defense System’s employment, operations, maintenance, and sustainment.
Provide Patriot Missile Air Defense Systems individual and collective training expertise at the Fire Unit level and up to Battalion Level Command; this includes Patriot Gunnery TBL I - VIII.
Provide Patriot Missile Air Defense System subject matter expert advice and training to SAF personnel on techniques and procedures similar to U.S. Army Air Defense Artillery (Patriot).
Assist SAF to establish effective their own Patriot related training, standardization, logistics, sustainment, and maintenance programs.
Train SAF personnel on operational and maintenance procedures.
Train and develop personnel identified by the SAF to be the PATRIOT unit master trainers (Master Gunners).
Assist in establishing a maintenance program that fully supports the unit training plan; developing a Sweden Patriot training program of instruction for 14-series MOSs (or the Sweden equivalent) and crews; shaping a unit safety program; developing a Tactical Standard Operating Procedures (TSOP); developing a Mission Essential Task List (METL); establishing a Mission Training Plan; and integrating Sweden planning and training methods similar to U.S. methods.
Provide effective assistance, advice, and training that facilitate SAF establishing effective Patriot -related programs that can be sustained after completion of TAFT mission. Focus is on building unit collective tactical and maintenance capabilities.
Monitor all training to ensure customer satisfaction and adherence.
Train at the Individual and collective levels to include: introduction to Integrated Air and Missile Defense, Patriot Basic Gunnery Tables, Patriot Intermediate Gunnery Tables and Patriot Advanced Gunnery Tables.
Develop individual and crew proficiency for their MOS in order to meet certification requirements for Table VIII and tactically employ the Sweden Patriot Missile Air Defense systems.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a MOS 14T in a U.S. Army Patriot Battalion and a subject matter expert in the employment and operation of the Patriot system; march order and emplacement drills to include missile reload.
Candidates will have served as one or more of the following:
Launcher Operator/Maintainer (14T 40/30) in a U.S. Patriot Battery and must have certified as a crew member of a Patriot launcher, march order and emplacement as well as guided missile transporter (GMT) and forklift reload.
EMMO at a U.S. Patriot Battalion.
Must possess an Active Department of Defense SECRET Security Clearance.
Hold a valid U.S. Passport.
- Master Gunner Qualification.
Must be an effective communicator both verbally and in writing. Most positions require ability to work on a desktop or laptop computer for extended periods of time. Computer activities include reading, reviewing and analyzing information, as well as providing recommendations, summaries, and reports in written or verbal format. Additionally, positions require ability to sit at a workstation for extended periods; use hand(s) to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; as well as speak and hear.
Employee may be required to occasionally lift and/or move moderate amounts of weight, typically less than 20 pounds. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
