Philips Senior Director, Procurement Business Partner CT-AMI in Haifa, Israel

In this role, as Procurement Business Partner / Head of Procurement for CT/AMI ( Computed Tomography & Advanced Molecular Imaging ) you will be responsible for developing and managing the procurement strategy that supports the CT-AMI business objectives in alignment with the Philips enterprise supplier and category strategy. This includes cost savings initiatives, quality goals achievement, increase the resilience of the supply chain, localization, quality & regulatory, sustainability policies, track cost and performance KPIs, new product introduction (NPI) and manage the team (mainly located in China and Israel). You will lead and manage all Procurement activities for the global CT-AMI Organization driving sourcing decisions and supplier performance from early product development to mass production, to enable this you will be expected to have a deep understanding of the BU strategy, product portfolio, supplier market and strong connection with the leaders within the CT-AMI organization.

As Procurement Business Partner / Head of Procurement for CT-AMI you are responsible for:

  • Creating strategic impact by initiating, organizing, and implementing of Procurement strategies, programs and transformations for CT-AMI.

  • Establishing a collaborative culture related to Procurement (all 3rd party spend in BoM, Markets and spend management) exemplified by openness, trust, shared action, and an emphasis on mutual longterm benefits.

  • Develop and deploy procurement strategies in the Business.

  • Provide Procurement leadership and vision to enable the organization’s short- and long-term objectives.

  • Achieves product and value chain optimization by cross-functional cooperation within the business.

  • Ensures that the Procurement related risks (cost, quality, availability) are controlled and mitigated.

  • Capture supplier innovation in product and business creation to optimize propositions and achieve the best value for Philips and its customers.

  • Ensures commodity and category strategies are relevant for the business, aligned with cross-functional stakeholders and fully implemented in the Business Unit.

  • Lead a team of procurement engineers who liaise with commodity managers to deliver procurement expertise and deliverables to the product development teams on a daily basis.

  • Driving all procurement activities related to New Product Introduction (NPI) in the Business.

  • Orchestrating the sourcing and industrialization with innovative suppliers, ensuring the successful completion of NPI Phase Gates. Managing Cost, Quality (APQP) and Risk with a strong focus on patient safety and product quality.

  • Responsible for talent management of the procurement function.

You are part of the Procurement & Engineering Organization within the Global Integrated Supply Chain and directly report to the Head of Procurement & Engineering.

Your profile

To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer- and patient safety & quality first attitude and the following:

  • Master’s in business administration or engineering and relevant training in SPM and Supply chain preferred.

  • At least 10 years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain or in related Stakeholder function

  • Solid track record as Procurement business partner, demonstrating leadership in new product introductions

  • Cultural sensitiveness, able to do global business across Europe, the Americas and Asia.

  • Works on complex issues where analysis of situations requires an in-depth knowledge of the company.

  • Strategic thinker with a ‘can do’ attitude. Result driven, with a proven track record.

  • Understanding of suppliers, business models, key drivers, measures, priorities and make or buy decisions.

  • Expertise in Design for eXcellence and Value Engineering.

  • Team player with excellent analytic and communication skills.

  • Ability to influence and challenge stakeholders both externally and internally is key.

  • Experience in LEAN or Six Sigma is considered an advantage.

Location

This role can be located in Suzhou, China or Haifa, Israel.
