Sierra Nevada Corporation Planner - Production II in Hagerstown, Maryland

As a Planner II, you will be developing your skills to plan, and schedule the movement of raw materials, packaging materials, parts, components, services, supplies, finished goods, and related material through our production and inventory process. You'll track production activity to help ensure a smooth and controlled flow of materials, troubleshoot potential scheduling problems, assist with providing solutions, and track production and material deficiencies and implementing the master production plan through the material management system to execute the program and product life cycle.

Must-haves:

Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics or related field of study and typically 2+ years of relevant experience

A higher level degree may substitute for experience

Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education

Experience with the engineering change process. Knowledge of master production planning

Basic understanding of technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publications

Advanced experience working in a manufacturing environment.

Thorough understanding and experience with the practical application of production and material control processes

Advanced MS Excel, MS Access and MS Project skills

Read and understands technical documents including blueprints and schematics.

Experience in creating and maintaining schedules with CPM methodology in MS Project.

Preferred:

1-3 years production control planning and scheduling experience within an aerospace manufacturing environment preferred.

Manufacturing Lead, supplier management, program management experience highly desired.

Excellent computer skills with MS Excel, MS Office, MS Project and/or Primavera P6, and ERP/MRP execution desired.

Excellent written /verbal communications skills

Demonstrate understanding and application of continuous improvement tools: LEAN, Six Sigma principles/DFSS/Lean design principles, Value Stream, and KPI
