What you’ll do:

"The primary responsibility of Lead Engineer role is to Technically lead New product development while assessing technical and commercial feasibility, execution of technically complex projects related to LV circuit breaker (ACB and MCCB)."

"• Lead and implement technically high complexity New products & cost reduction projects with end to end design responsibility right from design, product build, validation testing and its implementation utilizing right tools sets for requirements management, design methodologies, analysis first approach.

• Demonstrate and leverage knowledge on engineering fundamentals and analytical skills to leverage analysis first approach to minimize verification testing and in turn enrich realized savings of the projects.

• Leverage Design for Six Sigma tools like product design scorecard, P-diagram, DFMEA and DVP for profitable, reliable and on time launch of the projects.

• Management and execution against project plans and delivery commitments

• Deploy PROLaunch / project management practices for project execution via Toll Gates progression

• Collaborate with Global cross functional team members to get their inputs to ensure quality and on time project deliverables.

• Report on status of development and quality to management. Drive continuous improvements ideas, customer and plant issue resolutions."

Qualifications:

B.E./BTech / M-Tech / ME in Mechanical Engineering

"• 10+ Yrs of experience design and development experience related to circuit protection devices (CPD) products like Low Voltage (LV) short circuit protective devices, variable speed drives, reduced voltage soft starters and NEMA , IEC starters , LV circuit breaker (ACB and MCCB) and MV circuit breakers etc.

Skills:

• Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) methodology with examples of practical application.

• Experience through all stages of the prodcut development cycle

• Experience in Certifications validations test such as short circuit, temperature rise, arc test in accordance with UL standards

• Manufacturing knowledge for Sheetmetal, plastics, stamping, molding, machining, casting, & assembly processes and tooling. Good knowledge on materials - ferrous & non-ferrous metals, plastics

• Working knowledge of CAD/CAE software like Creo, Inventor, AutoCAD with tolerance stack up, GD&T. PLM- Enovia working knowledge.

• Good analytical skills in electrical & mechanical disciplines.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to clearly communicate to internal/external customers and suppliers."

"• End to end Design and development experience related to products like Low Voltage (LV) short circuit protective devices, variable speed drives, reduced voltage soft starters and NEMA , IEC starters , LV circuit breaker (ACB and MCCB) and MV circuit breaker, Fuses, switches etc.

• Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) methodology with examples of practical application.

• UL, IEC standards knowledge & onhands experience in valdidating products for certifications.

• Manufacturing knowledge for Sheetmetal, plastics, stamping, molding, machining, casting, & assembly processes and tooling. Good knowledge on materials - ferrous & non-ferrous metals, plastics.

• Working knowledge of CAD/CAE software like Creo, Inventor, AutoCAD with tolerance stack up, GD&T. PLM- Enovia working knowledge.

• Good analytical skills in mechanical disciplines. "
