Eaton Corporation Engineering Manager in Hadapsar, India
What you’ll do:
This role is to provide engineering leadership for Power Distribution & Protection (PD&P) (Electronics Hardware & Systems) group products within eMobility Group in Pune. Connect with stakeholders, technical experts, project team members to define the workload for the team and ensure quality of deliverables. Identify training opportunities, on-the-job assignments to build capabilities in the team in consultation with SMEs and leadership. Focus on building Hardware test capabilities in Magarpatta campus & external test agencies, propose new additions and gain approvals from stakeholders from time to time.
Understand the Power Distribution & Protection (PD&P) Products with EATON's high level strategy for growth
Developmental experiences in breakers, fuses, Switchgears & busbars
Understand the product design stages, customer pursuit stages and design qualification methods, analysis requirements and release process for proto builds
Derive goals for the team members in alignment with the product line & leadership goals with respect to project opportunities and skill-set needed vs available
Define & execute capability plan on engineering, analysis and test areas for the team for 12 to 36 months in consultations with SMEs and leadership
Drive creativity and innovation culture in the team through encouragement of disclosures, patentability designs, technical paper publications
Define development plans in-line with capability plans for the individual team members in alignment with their aspirations and motivations for their career development
Conduct regular 1-0-1s, coaching and mentoring for problem solving, feedback on behavioral aspects in-line with ELM values and expectations
Obtain 360 degree feedback for team members and holistically plan and execute their development for best business value addition
Lead by example in addressing employee feedback from 1-0-1s, employee survey and other forums by maintaining a clear communication of actions and outcomes
Drive the positive impact in operations metrics such as Applied Ratio, Headcount, TIMS and Kronos plan and approvals on time Assess, mentor and evaluate talents in the system per the plans and timelines set-forth by HR in various dimensions
Qualifications:
Masters in Electronics / Electrical Engineering Domains
7 - 8 years of Engineering Design & Development experience in Automotive domain
Skills:
Sound Engineering fundamentals,Working with OEM's for technical proposals,Hands-on Engineering design & development of components, sub-systems for Automotive applications, powertrain experience preferred
Excellent drive to learn, execute with people and CFT in an agile environment, embraces uncertainty and works through in creating a value for the team
