Position Summary:

AutoZone is looking for a talented web developer to join our team in writing React apps in on our React Development Team. You'll have the opportunity to work on one of our agile scrum teams to build and maintain web applications. Our portfolio spans retail, commercial, and international e-commerce areas, plus there are additional opportunities for internal employee applications. Candidates must have recent experience building JavaScript SPA web projects with React and Node.js.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement features that meet business requirements while maintaining a healthy, sustainable, and reliable codebase.

• Work with peer developers and leads using collaboration tools for requirements refinement, pair programming, code reviews, design reviews, and other developer activities.

• Contribute to overall group objectives like finding opportunities for cross-product code reuse, improving developer experience using automation, and improving operational stability.

• Own your own professional development by seeking out challenging work assignments\

• Support a collaborative, self-empowered, and distributed work culture.

  Requirements:

• A systems thinker, able to move fluidly between high-level abstract thinking and detail-oriented implementation, open-minded to new ideas, approaches, and technologies

• A data and fact-driven decision maker, with an ability to make quick decisions under uncertainty when necessary; able to quickly learn new technologies, tools, and organizational structures/strategies

• Understanding of current industry standard best practices regarding integration, architecture, tools, and processes

• A self-starter that is naturally inquisitive, requiring only small pieces to the puzzle, across many technologies – new and legacy.

• Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and analytical skills, including the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts and designs to a broad range of people.

  Education and/or Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Information Technology or a related field required

• Experience developing web applications using React, Redux, Jest, and Flow

• Typically requires 8 to 15 years of experience as a full-time developer

• Familiarity developing software using Agile processes and the Scrum framework

• Experience using SCM tools like Git, GitLab, and GitHub

• Ability to perform tasks with some technical supervision

• Ability to work on a distributed team using chat and collaboration software for primary communications
