Location: Gurugram, India

Amazon Web Services India Private Limited (AWSIPL) is the local seller of AWS Cloud in India. AWSIPL is seeking a driven and talented Senior Communications Manager, to support and execute a comprehensive field content and senior leadership communication / intranet platform strategy. This candidate will be a strategic Communications partner to the Vice President of AWS India and South Asia, responsible for driving comprehensive internal and external communications for senior leadership, and will serve as a trusted advisor, crafting impactful messaging and delivering engaging content to internal and external stakeholders, including AWS India builders, customers, partners, and the broader public. This role requires sound understanding of the business, strong executive presence, and the ability to translate complex information into clear, compelling narratives.

The ideal candidate should be able to leverage multiple communication channels, develop and implement web strategies and video requirements for programs and campaigns, employee engagement events, and ongoing communications. They will also assist in defining and executing on the operational cadence to ensure relevance and timeliness of content. This candidate will have very high attention to detail and be passionate about curating and managing content and serving it up to the relevant audience. It also requires effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, and the individual must have has a proven work ethic that drives desired results.

Key job responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive internal communications strategies to effectively engage and align the organization

• Partner closely with senior leaders to understand priorities and translate them into engaging, high-impact content for employees

• Manage the creation, distribution and organization of executive-level communications such as town halls, emails, videos, and presentations

• Ensure consistent brand voice and messaging across all internal channels

• Monitor employee sentiment and feedback to continuously improve internal communications

• Craft and deliver speeches, talking points, and other high-stakes external communications

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on messaging and coordinate executive visibility.

This role is within the ISV team in Amazon Web Services India, working with the customers to help drive AWS services adoption.

A day in the life

As a Senior Communications Manager, your days are spent partnering closely with the AWS India and South Asia VP and leadership to craft impactful messaging, and ensure seamless execution of strategic internal and external communications. Leveraging exceptional writing and public speaking skills, you translate executive priorities into engaging employee-facing content like town hall scripts and leadership emails. You work cross-functionally to maintain brand consistency, while utilizing communication analytics to make real-time adjustments and measure impact. With deep strategic experience, you serve as a trusted advisor, collaborating on high-stakes deliverables that strengthen the company's thought leadership through clear, compelling narratives.

About the team

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving AWS Cloud revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers, including public sector.

Basic Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in strategic communications, with a track record of success in both internal and external communications with exceptional writing, editing, and public speaking skills with the ability to translate complex information into clear and compelling narratives

• Excellent planning and organizational skills, and great attention to detail and pride in execution of initiatives with experience with communication tools that support readership analysis and metrics

• Advanced PowerPoint skills with a track record of working with cross functional teams on capturing concepts and translating these to presentations

• Good working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud/Suite Inc. Photoshop, Premier Pro with Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Highly effective and efficient in ambiguous situations with ability to react with appropriate levels of urgency to situations and events that require quick response or turnaround

• High levels of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information. Ability to take on increased responsibilities as the position advances

• Master's degree in communications, journalism, or a related field
