We seek to continuously improve the tools and processes used in integrating human rights and environmental due diligence across the business.

We are looking for a Risk Manager, Operations to support the Worldwide Social Responsibility (WWSR) assessments operations teams with Amazon’s growing vendor and supplier base. This Risk Manager, Operations will be responsible for analyzing existing and new initiatives to optimize and implement continuous improvement mechanisms.

This role will be focused on collaboration with product teams to support technical updates and deployment across operations. This Risk Manager, Operations will analyze existing processes and make informed recommendations for automation, while optimizing standard operating procedures (SOPs) to improve tech readiness. This role will be expected to handle day-to-day issues, always searching for ways to invent and simplify and leverage technology and automation wherever possible.

A strong candidate for this role is an innovative, detail-oriented professional who is highly organized, has a problem-solving mindset, and is an excellent communicator.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in delivering continuous improvement, experience with automation tools and analytics, and exceptional project management skills that enable effective management across a large number of complex stakeholders. This position combines leveraging lean six sigma concepts with a general knowledge of working with technical product and engineering teams to create opportunities to improve the customer experience through automation.

Key job responsibilities

  • Driving key components of the assessment program and ensuring global processes and existing workflows are optimized and contain continuous improvement mechanisms.

  • Work closely with WWSR Global Solutions and Risk Compliance teams in Bangalore and Shenzhen and provide support and feedback on their metrics and workflows.

  • Work closely with WWSR stakeholders to update and improve operational processes to support technical integration.

  • Support setting up operational processes for new WWSR initiatives.

  • Identify opportunities to leverage micro-automations to reduce process times, reduce defects and lower costs.

  • Use operational expertise to improve reporting mechanisms to highlight gaps and operational opportunities.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • 3+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience with SQL and Excel

  • 3+ years of compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent experience

  • Experience handling confidential information

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of program requirements definition and data and metrics leveraging to drive improvements experience

  • Professional auditing qualification, or similar risk or compliance credentials

  • Experience establishing successful partnerships with internal and external teams to execute tactical initiatives or equivalent
