Job overview and responsibilities

The primary role of Associate Analyst – Procurement is to provide analytical support to the US based procurement teams. This position will focus on providing analytical support to a wide range of categories and support different procurement activities such as development of supplier management scorecards, spend analytics, supply market analysis, RFP template creation and response analysis, etc. with the goal of capturing total cost of ownership (TCO) savings and driving process efficiencies.

  • Develop expertise in the assigned spend categories through relationships with category managers

  • Develop vendor scorecards to monitor SLAs, performance, spend, and compliance

  • Provide analytical support for daily procurement operations

  • Provide support in gathering and organizing data through various internal and external sources

  • Conduct analysis of market trends and potential suppliers

  • Conduct benchmarking analysis during RFP events and as needed across network

  • Conduct research and communicate procurement trends for assigned categories to category leaders

  • Create and maintain an online workspace for collaboration

This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded. This position is for United Airlines Business Services Pvt. Ltd - a wholly owned subsidiary of United Airlines Inc.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelors Degree

  • 1+ years work experience

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft office suite, Access and PowerPoint

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to take charge and drive initiatives

  • Organized, detail-oriented, thorough and professional

  • Team player with a positive attitude and focus on business issues

  • Must be legally authorized to work in India for any employer without sponsorship

  • Must be fluent in English (written and spoken)

  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
