BASIC FUNCTIONS: This position performs complex research, design, and software development assignments within a software functional area or product line, and provides direct input to project plans, schedules, and methodology in the development of cross-functional software products. This position performs software design — typically across multiple systems; mentors more-junior members of the team; and talks to users/customers and translates their requests into solutions.QUALIFICATIONS:• 5+ years of Software Engineering experience• BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of experience as a Python Developer with a strong portfolio of projects.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering or a related field.

• In-depth understanding of the Python software development stacks, ecosystems, frameworks, and tools such as Numpy, Scipy, Pandas, Dask, spaCy, NLTK, sci-kit-learn, etc.

• Familiarity with database technologies such as SQL and NoSQL.

• Excellent problem-solving ability with solid communication and collaboration skills.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with popular Python frameworks such as Flask or FastAPI.

• A working understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud or Azure.
