AON IND Manager Health - Actuarial in Gurgaon, India

Develop client-specific knowledge to deliver on the valuation and other consulting support services Develop your understanding of the wider context big picture view of the technical calculations and key primary drivers of the resultsIndependently review the technical results from the base data, establish reasonableness, reliability of checks and ensure proper audit trailsDemonstrate a clear, logical approach to reviewing significant technical piece of work with proper documentation and root cause analysis of areas of concernDemonstrate a very good understanding of all aligned processes and to be able to mentor and also to provide insights to clients/clients teamThe process involves analysis of healthcare products data provided by vendors & onshore consultants pertaining to premium, claims, plan attributes.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

• People Management – Typically managing a team of 8-12 colleagues (may vary depending on the overall team size) and reporting into the Service Manager (head of the unit).India | Risk and Human Capital

• Project Management – Manage projects end to end with focus on Quality of Delivery and Process Efficiency. Track and control project timelines, resource allocation, identify and mitigate risks, and accountable for communication management• Manages small to mid-size projects independently. Acts as a strong PM on new or complex valuations.• Able to complete valuations efficiently and accurately without direction and can explain results to the AM/PM.• Understands technical topics beyond just knowing what they are and able to make reasonable interpretations of how they apply to various valuations.• May have developed unique expertise in a particular area (for example, extensive experience high complex valuations on big client) and therefore can become the “go to” person as a “doer” in that area.• Educate and train colleagues to allow them to complete valuations independently. Reviews work and provides constructive, developmental feedback.• Reviews all work for accuracy and reasonability, and ensures that all results are client ready. Understands what the final results should look like. Handles most questions from the client when the AM\PM is not available and likely to start the Activity Manager Role• Good leave management by keeping business requirement in mind so that impact would be minimal on client work. And guide colleagues in their leaves planning.• Motivating colleagues focus on team engagement and Leading by example.• Delegates straight forward valuations to the junior colleagues and take up complex valuations• Offshore lead for one of the biggest client valuations• Prioritizes projects and team concerns with limited assistance• Initiates most valuations without prompting; begins to understand scope, timeline, and deliverables• Makes sure all colleagues are utilized as per their skill set and experience• Monthly meetings with mentors, mentee, and weekly meeting with the team.• Provides final client deliverables along with relevant options that includes drafting the emails as well.• Escalates questions to appropriate team members• Active participation in the weekly manager meetings and effectively communicates concerns with the management• Builds knowledge of valuations and interprets results• Solid relationships developing with more day- to-day communication• May answer some local team questions without reliance on AM\PM• Strong working knowledge of client’s valuation• Give instructions to the colleagues for completing the valuations.• Act as an escalation point for all the team members' client deliverables• Able to test for errors and reasonabilitySKILLS/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED (List 4-8 skills required to get the job done):• Proficient with Data Analysis• Project Management of multiple projects• Ensure Capacity and Workload management• Effective People Management• Effective Stakeholder Management• Understanding of consulting solution• Risk and Escalation Management• Understanding and Reporting of Operational Metrics• Advanced MS Excel• Proficiency on MS word and Power Point• Ability to Apply technology tools to situations & provide unique solutions• Contribute to improving technology and its application• Coaching/Mentoring - Advance Level
