The Role: Data Analyst

The Team:

S&P Global Commodity Insights provides essential intelligence for global commodity markets. Responsibilities and Impact:

This role includes key duties include comprehensive data management and analysis, where data is meticulously gathered from multiple sources such as Salesforce, Oracle, and Zuora. This involves cleaning and organizing datasets to derive valuable insights for client deliverables, performing thorough analyses using Excel and other tools to uncover trends, and assisting in the creation of data visualizations and reports for both internal and client presentations. Additionally, the role entails identifying opportunities for optimization based on data-driven insights, ensuring data accuracy through validation processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop strategies that align with business objectives. Project coordination is also crucial, involving the organization and tracking of project timelines and deliverables, leading multidisciplinary teams, and preparing essential meeting materials and status reports. Quality assurance is maintained through the review of deliverables and peer evaluations. Furthermore, diligent documentation management to ensure accuracy and standardization across project-related materials.

Responsibilities include the following:

  • Project Coordination and Administrative Support:

  • Organize, Plan, Track project timelines, deliverables, and milestones, ensuring all team members meet deadlines.

  • Leads multidisciplinary teams, clearly communicating project objectives and expectations to ensure successful project delivery.

  • Prepare meeting materials, project status reports, and assist in day-to-day administrative tasks related to project management.

  • Data Management and Analysis:

  • Gather and organize data from various sources, including environments like Salesforce, Oracle, Zuora environments.

  • Partner with Data Leads on deployments and projects to ensure data schedule alignment.

  • Collaborate with the Data Management organization to support enforcement of data quality standards and processes for ERP deployments, projects or enhancements.

  • Develop and deliver tasks as per SLAs related to analysis, design, and implementation of technical data migration solutions.

  • Ensure that data related reporting metrics and status updates are created and are accurate at any given time.

  • Assist in the preparation of data visualizations and reports for both internal and client presentations.

  • Identify areas of improvement and opportunities for optimization based on data-driven insights.

  • Business Process Support:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop data-driven strategies and initiatives to enhance and achieve business objectives.

  • Document process flows and contribute to change management activities.

  • Acts as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing updates on project progress, risks, and outcomes.

  • Quality Assurance:

  • Review deliverables to ensure quality and consistency, following firm and client standards.

  • Conduct peer reviews of documents and presentations, ensuring accuracy and adherence to guidelines.

  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data by implementing data validation processes and conducting quality assurance checks.

  • Documentation Management:

  • Organize and cleanup project-related documents, ensuring they are accurate and meet standards.

  • Standardize client-facing materials and internal reports.

  • Maintain a well-organized repository of project documentation.

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • Educational Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

  • Familiarity with data management technologies, database administration, and analytics tools.

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and generate actionable insights.

  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on data accuracy and integrity.

  • Soft Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage cross-functional teams effectively.

  • Ability to manage time effectively and work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

  • Work Experience:

  • 5-7 years of experience in a similar analyst role, preferably within consulting or a related field.

  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of applications such as Salesforce, Marketo, Oracle & Zuora platforms.

  • Ability to work in an agile environment with focus on LEAN approach.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Certifications: -

  • Salesforce Admin or Salesforce Business Analyst

  • Lean Six Sigma

  • PMP or Prince2

  • Scrum Master
