Citigroup AVP - Reference Data Services Sr Analyst (Hybrid) - GURGAON in Gurgaon, India

The Reference Data Services is a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the Asset servicing function . Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization. Work and performance of all teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for capturing, scrubbing and cleansing the Corporate Actions Data for producing the Golden Record on the Central Corporate Action capture platform

  • Performs trend analysis and identifying root causes Implementing or suggesting solutions based on the root cause analysis

  • Liaises with other teams globally to ensure data quality is remediated

  • Provides a high level of customer service to our internal stakeholders

  • Owns ad-hoc projects from inception through to completion

  • Provides tangible metrics to Management

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • Well-developed management skills and relevant experience managing operational functions.

  • 11 to 13 years of experience, with at least 5 years of experience in managing Corporate Actions processing

  • 5 to 6 years of experience in people management

  • Requires Corporate Actions expertise

  • Deep knowledge of various event type set up, market nuances within global regions (APAC/EMEA/MENA/NAM) & multiple asset classes (Equity, Fixed Income, Fund of Funds, OTC & exchange traded derivatives) is preferred

  • In-depth knowledge of Corporate Action working within Asset Management/Custody/PB side is a must.

  • Takes ownership of allocated work and is accountable

  • Able to identify, trouble shoot issues and ultimately escalate

  • Financial services related qualifications

  • Directly impacts the area through shared responsibility for delivery of end results and contribution to planning, budget management and formulation of procedures; influences resource planning.

  • Responsible for opening and maintaining customer sub-accounts or product pricing setups, and actively ensuring that customer/product data details and settlement instructions across a variety of systems remain up to date.

  • Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.

  • Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.

  • Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
