WSP USA Document Controller - Rail in Guildford, United Kingdom

We are looking for an Document Controller to join our Rail Engineering Services Team who shall be responsible for the use of Document Management and information systems for project delivery. The role will comprise:

  • Be integral to our multi-disciplinary rail projects in managing the respective document management and information systems.

  • Be tasked with initial project set up and implementation of appropriate document management tools, systems, and processes.

  • Support the development of standardised processes that can be applied across all our rail projects.

  • Support the Information Systems Specialist with ProjectWise tasks.

YOUR TEAM

You will work on exciting and inspiring projects for a variety of Infrastructure Owners, National and Local Governments, Public and Private Sector Industry Groups. You will be part of the National Information Management Team comprising BIM and Information Control Specialist and:

  • Undertake the role of Information Controller for project delivery including the monitoring and / or coordinating of deliverables submissions, transmittals and incoming documents.

  • Assist in developing and maintaining document control processes that align with project requirements.

  • Assist in establishing document interface protocols between internal and external document management systems.

  • Support the Project Management team with team organisation duties for major projects.

  • Engage with design teams to apply Quality Assurance processes to ensure that all deliverables are fully compliant with project quality requirements.

  • Have an awareness of and promote emerging industry trends, products and solutions.

  • Ensure compliance with company Health & Safety, Environmental, Commercial and Project Management procedures, as relevant to the tasks being undertaken.

  • Appropriate qualifications include A-levels, BTEC or NVQ Level 3.

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) software.

  • Previous knowledge and prior experience of the implementation of document management processes and procedures is desirable.

  • Previous use of leading industry document management systems such as eB and ProjectWise.

  • Wider understanding of project controls and design management processes is desirable.

  • Appropriate qualifications include A-levels, BTEC or NVQ Level 3.

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) software.

  • Previous knowledge and prior experience of the implementation of document management processes and procedures is desirable.

  • Previous use of leading industry document management systems such as eB and ProjectWise.

  • Wider understanding of project controls and design management processes is desirable.

  • Experience of working within the UK Rail Engineering sector is an advantage.
