We are growing! We are looking for a passionate, driven, and enthusiastic candidate to join our team for the position of Social Media Specialist, located in our Head Office in Guelph, Ontario.

Job Description

We are looking for an energetic and creative Social Media Specialist to develop, implement, and manage Skyline’s social media strategies to enhance Skyline's brand presence and engagement across various platforms. The Social Media Specialist would be involved in creating and curating compelling content, monitoring social media trends, and analyzing performance metrics to drive effective social media campaigns. They will collaborate with internal teams to align social media initiatives with broader marketing objectives and ensure a cohesive brand voice while supporting Skyline’s shared goal of creating meaningful value and an exceptional experience for our customers, our people and our communities.

What you will be doing:

  • Assist with the content planning, creation, and implementation of social media strategy to engage prospects and increase leads through web, blogs, infographics, and social media.

  • Ensure social media content is consistent and cohesive among all the Group of Companies that is in alignment with Skyline’s strategies.

  • Construct social media calendars to outline upcoming posts by dates and times of future postings on social media platforms.

  • To foster innovation and creativity support the launch and growth of new developments with relevant social/content programs and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Analyze metrics to identify trends and effectiveness of campaigns.

What we look for:

  • College Diploma or University Degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Business, Public Relations/Media Relations, or related field.

  • Minimum three (3) years experience in a social media, content marketing, and/or communications role AND three (3) years social leadership experience OR any equivalent combination of education and experience determined to be acceptable.

  • Advanced social media experience with various platforms for driving campaigns. Experience with but not limited to: Blogs, Instagram, Twitter (X), Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.

  • Strong knowledge of strategic communication, marketing, and public relations.

  • Proven ability to execute social/content campaigns and programs.
