Group Summary
The Magna Exteriors portfolio of products includes access systems such as liftgates, exterior trim, modular systems, front-end modules including fascia, active aerodynamic systems and other lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck and other industrial markets.

About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing paint processes that ensure cycle time and Business Plan targets are met. Work to develop paint processes for new launch tools, while improving existing processes.
Your Responsibilities
Develop paint processes for all new launch tools
Continually improve existing processes
Track program performance to business plan targets and implement corrective measures
Lead team to review cycle times and overall efficiency
Create weekly reports summarizing overall yield and utilization
Drive process trials and quality validations
Develop design of experiments and engineering trials for new material, tooling and machinery and process development
Key member of the Capital Project Team, contributing to investment in new technologies
Drive continuous improvements and cost savings; materials, yield and cycle time improvements
Technical/project management (capital)
Provide any required assistance to production’s needs
Support Yield and Utilization teams, CFTs, and program launches
Participate in DOR and POR measurables
Perform other duties as assigned
Who we are looking for
Chemical or Mechanical Engineering Degree required
Minimum one year of related work experience in paint process/process engineering
Strong knowledge of production tooling
Excellent communication skills (English - spoken and written)
Experience in OEM paint process preferred
Experience with automated robotic manufacturing processes and equipment
A self-starter with the ability to manage and execute projects independently
Proven analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
Must be results and team oriented
Proven ability to effectively interface with technicians, engineering, purchasing, operations, management
Willingness and availability for infrequent travel for business or training purposes
Must be flexible to work shifts as required
