Emerson Channel Sales Leader in GUADALAJARA, Mexico

Job Summary

The Channel Sales Team Leader is responsible to ensure all strategic vertical markets within her territory are accurately covered by a skilled sales force (direct, reps, distributors, etc), constant mentor and training to achieve the region´s orders’ goals. Become a facilitator between the customers and the rest of Emerson’s organization to address efficiently any potential issue. Supervise efficiently performance for all commercial channels and implement corrective actions if vital. Collaborate with the Regional Sales Manager, BU Managers and Project Pursuit to develop, implement, maintain, and supervise critical initiatives and business plans. Carry out the territories and commission policies.

In this role, your responsibilities will be

  • Provide clarity to the Business Units of the Funnel based on quality and status of the main opportunities by Period and Quarter

  • Own monthly POR commitments through constant collaboration with the Sales Force, and the management of the channels, and organizations.

  • Implement and supervise on corrective actions to improve sales channels performance.

  • Provide constant mentor to the sales team (Representatives and Distributors)

  • Lead Critical Site Reviews

  • Develop and implement new strategies to penetrate industries focus and customers target through applications and effective driven displacement.

  • Support and implement territory and product strategies from different organizations

  • Ensure accounts and territory allocation compliance

  • Make sure Sales Force agreements, contracts and compensation compliance

  • Reach and influence C-Level at key customers

  • Address and follow-up customer’s complains by setting an action plan with the Operations Organization

  • Support your team on mitigating possible roadblocks and achieving its goals

  • Support the sales organization during onboarding, systems access and trainings

  • Support the Order Entry, Procurement, Logistics and Collections departments to effectively meet targets

  • Identify and attract top talent and new sales channels

  • Work with the organization on adhoc requests

Who you are:

  • You proactively develop relationships with a wide variety of people

  • You find common ground and acceptable alternatives that satisfy the needs of multiple partners

  • You focus on the highest priorities and set aside less critical tasks.

For this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years of proven track record on leading sales channels, sales force development (performance tracking, mentor, prospecting, closing, forecast, pricing), account management and new business development.

  • Experience working B2B sales involving sophisticated deals.

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the sales planning process.

  • Ability to collaborate with all required levels at a customer (entry level to senior executive)

  • Validated ability to influence internal and external team members

  • Experience in process industries (Chemical, Mining, Power, Food & Beverage, Midstream).

  • Travel in the assigned geography – up to 75%

  • Ability to function independently with little or no supervision as well as function in a team environment

  • Intermediate to proficient English skills

  • Strong analytical skills using Microsoft Excel

  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering

  • Sales / Commercial training is desirable
