E-Coat Lab Tech (3rd Shift)

General Core Responsibilities:

• Performs chemical titrations and bath analysis in the various stages of pre-treatment and electro coat systems. As well as physical tests

• Performs and Operates Waste Water Treatment according to permit parameters

• Perform Datapaq, voltage sub, ACT panels for SEM/CW

• Adds chemicals and paint to the systems as required to maintain the processes within required parameters

• Maintains the multi-stage pre-treatment, Electro coat, DI water and RO water systems within required operational parameters

• Dumps/Clean/Recharge tanks, and change filters as needed

• Maintains written and computer-based records of the operational performance of the systems (including Statistical Process Control)

• Maintains inventories of chemicals and test supplies

• Communicates with internal and external suppliers and customers, both verbally and with written reports

• General Housekeeping

Desired Proficiencies:

• Troubleshooting

• Mathematics

• Ability to understand analytical laboratory reports, compare results, and perform process corrections as required

• Microsoft Office Excel and Outlook

• Ability to understand and perform verbal and written technical instructions

• Ability to write legibly and logically

• Knowledge of general safety practices

• Good mechanical aptitude
