Job Title: Controls Engineer

Job Description:

Join our team as a Controls Engineer and play a pivotal role in maintaining our status as the leading manufacturer of railroad wheels in North America. In this role, you will provide essential technical support to our manufacturing operations, drive continuous improvement, and ensure the optimal functioning of our equipment and systems. Your responsibilities will include designing, selecting, and installing new equipment, modifying existing systems, providing maintenance support, and creating and maintaining crucial documentation. You will also lead projects focused on the installation and upgrading of machinery, offer training on advanced system controls, and stay abreast of the latest technologies in the field.

1. Continuous Improvement: You'll drive process enhancements, ensuring equipment, procedures, and systems operate at their best.

2. Technical Support: Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment and automated systems, keeping our operations running smoothly.

3. Design and Deployment: Create and implement machine control systems, including robotics, servo controls, and data collection. Your work will align with company design standards.

4. Project Management: Lead modifications, installations, and upgrades for new machinery and systems.

5. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of processes and operating procedures.

6. Stay Informed: Keep up-to-date with relevant technologies and manufacturing systems.

7. Training: Provide training on HMI (Human-Machine Interface) and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems for plant personnel.
