Senior Project Manager (IT PM) Category: Mining, Resources & Energy Employment Type: Contract Reference: BH-380802 Senior Project Manager (IT PM) Duration: 5 Months Pay: Up to $91/hour Location: Columbus, OH (Onsite 2-3 days/week, up to 20% travel across a six-state region) Eligibility: U.S. Citizens Only Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead and oversee large-scale Business and IT programs. The role involves collaborating with Program Directors, ensuring governance standards are met, and driving the successful delivery of projects on time, within budget, and with high quality. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex projects, engaging stakeholders at all levels, and applying best practices in project management methodologies. Key Responsibilities: Develop project proposals, estimates, and conduct quality reviews. Identify and manage project dependencies, critical paths, issues, and risks. Use advanced tools to forecast, plan, estimate, and track project budgets and delivery timelines. Oversee performance, cost, scope, schedule, and quality while ensuring alignment with technical leadership. Drive end-to-end project execution, from requirements definition through final delivery. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration, fostering teamwork across departments and organizational levels. Serve as the liaison between business partners, external vendors, and service provider personnel. Communicate team assignments, monitor work efforts, and provide status updates to executive sponsors and leadership. Document processes, action plans, and designs with clear and concise visualizations (charts, diagrams, sketches). Qualifications Experience: 8+ years in project management, with demonstrated success in both IT and business initiatives. Proven ability to manage large, complex projects involving internal/external teams and varied cost components. Familiarity with business process analysis, mapping, and change management approaches. Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of project management best practices (waterfall, agile, SDLC methodologies). Proficiency in cost management and resource capacity planning. Certifications (Preferred): PMP (Project Management Professional). Agile certifications such as PSM (Professional Scrum Master) or PSPO (Professional Scrum Product Owner). Leadership Skills: Strong ability to coach, develop, and lead diverse teams. Experience engaging with executive sponsors and stakeholders to ensure alignment and clarity.
