Commander, Navy Installations HOUSING MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT in Groton Submarine Base, Connecticut

Responsibilities You will ensure assigned buildings and available rooms within those building are maintained for adequate living and ready for assignment to newly arriving personnel. You will identify material discrepancies and submit paperwork to correct the deficiencies. You will ensure rooms are inspected on a monthly basis. You will enforce safety and fire regulations to protect occupants. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-5 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: (1) Provide information via telephone, email and in person on a variety of subjects relating to housing for military personnel; (2) Ensure proper database record keeping; (3) Monitor the assignment of tenants to quarters to ensure government housing is utilized appropriately; (4) Prepare appropriate housing reports or documentation concerning occupancy, vacancy, placement or other related activities by use of graphs/flowcharts; and (5) Counsel customers regarding the availability, type, and size of housing available NOTE: This information must be supported in your resume to be considered for the position. Education 1 full year of graduate level education or superior academic achievement Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
