What You Will Achieve

You will oversee and manage operational aspects of ongoing improvement projects, acting as a liaison between Project Team and Line Management. You will support our programs by managing the review of the status of the project, budget, schedules and preparing status reports. You will assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality and client satisfactions goals.

As a Manager, you provide guidance to operational teams for managing projects. Your planning skills will help in preparing forecasts for resource requirements, and providing areas of improvement for products, processes or services. Through your comprehensive knowledge of principles, concepts and theories of this discipline, you will work towards advancing new concepts and methodologies. You will be able to take a leadership role to facilitate agreements between different teams.

  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.

ROLE SUMMARY

This position will contribute to a top-tier Project Management team to execute and deliver assigned capital projects for a designated site. The role involves leading a cross-functional team, both internal and external, consisting of architects, engineers, consultants and internal stakeholders. Reporting to the Program Manager NE/MW, this role is responsible for ensuring the timely and cost-effective completion of individual assigned projects, aligned with Pfizer's strategic objectives.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Planning and Execution : Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, budget and resource allocation. Coordinate project activities, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with regulatory requirements. Conduct project meetings, lead and facilitate stakeholder communications and moderate risk assessments. Monitor project progress, identify critical paths and bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to maintain project budget, schedule and quality. Inform Project Management Office of cost and schedule trending, forecasting and safety metrics for the assigned project/s.

Stakeholder Management: Establish and maintain effective communication with R&D scientists, engineers, facilities and procurement teams. Facilitate effective communication between stakeholders, ensuring project objectives are met. Resolve conflicts and prioritize competing demands to keep projects on track.

Budget & Resource Management: Manage project budgets, track expenses and provide regular financial updates. Allocate resources efficiently considering both internal and external resources. Identify cost-savings opportunities without compromising project quality.

Quality Assurance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to industry standards, safety policy and protocol, and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with quality assurance teams to maintain high-quality deliverables. Prepare documentation for audits and inspection.

Team Management: Manage design and construction teams and develop and maintain site/customer client relationships. Facilitate and inform stakeholders through regular project status reports and governance meetings.

Continuous Improvement : Conduct lessons learned on all project executions including stakeholders for feedback on project performance to inform improved project delivery.

Project Safety & Environmental Health: Manage project execution that implements Pfizer's environmental, health &

safety standards and construction safety programs while adhering to agreed milestones and program KPIs.

Vendor Management: Source, procure, negotiate and execute project services and construction supplier agreements.

Invoice & Cost Tracking: With support from the project controls team and PMO, review all invoices for projects in program for accuracy and compliance to contractual commitments.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering or a related field

  • 5+ years of experience in project management, preferably in pharmaceutical research and development facilities.

  • Project Management Professional certification (PMP) strongly preferred

  • Experience in managing mid to large-scale (up to $100M), complex programs with multiple projects and stakeholders.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or other project management software

  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and lead cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze complex information and make sound decisions.

  • Strong financial acumen, with the ability to develop and manage program budgets.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels

  • Ability to work with team members to develop a project execution plan

  • Facilitation, Negotiation & Problem Resolution Skills

  • Ability to build a strong network and relationships with external consultants and vendors

  • Demonstrate professional, high integrity, trustworthy and ethical behavior always

  • Advanced level of critical thinking, communication, presentation, and relationship management skills

  • Demonstrated sound judgment and ability to make effective decisions independently with minimal escalation to or supervision from manager

  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and software

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, presentation, and ability to handle ambiguity

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree in a related field or professional certifications (PMP, etc..)

  • Familiarity with real estate and construction software, such as Procore or CoStar

  • Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role in project management

  • Experience with GxP and GMP environments preferred

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to perform complex problem solving and analysis of financial, logistics and engineering issues

  • Knowledge of legal, regulatory, and safety standards in real estate and construction

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • Approximately 10% travel is expected

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $93,500.00 to $155,900.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 12.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
