Primary Purpose/Function of the Job

  • Ensures overall performance of team to include KPI's, such as quality, safety, process reliability, sanitation, GMP's, and material yield.
  • This position pro-actively implements Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and daily problem solving initiatives to icrease operational effecivemenss and efficiencies.
  • Must be able to effectively coach, train, and snd ensure 100% complaiance to plant extablished procedures (including work rule, safety and sanitaiton guidelines) while edmonstrating a deep respect for the capabilities of all people, believing thatpeople will contribut to what they understand and feel is in their best and self-interest.
  • Must be able to structure their approach based on the core belief that the success of the company depends upon the capabilities and contributions of all people in the organization.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Leads by example and drives the sfety culture by ensuring core safety principles and values are followed and improved.

  • Leverages SMART goals, such as safety, quality, reliability, sanitation and waste, for the produciton team to guarantee a safe, clean, organized and defect-free environment

  • Removes barriers and obstacles to team performance. Demonstrates a sense of urgency, ownership and tenacity to resolve problems.

  • Communicates daily with the Team Manager to ensure daily management is effectively executed. Attends meetings and/or leads when the team Manager is not available. Facilitates daily direction setting and Autonomous Maintenance team meetings

  • Ensures operational discipline by guaranteeing that all procedures (SOPs), centerlines, and AM tools (OPLs, F-Tags, CILs) are consistently followed and standardized

  • Plans, directs and supports the daily activities the Technician team members to achieve daily, weekly and monthly goals and business initiatives.

  • Resolves daily issues and minor mechanical problems and coordinates the need for non-routine adjustments and repairs through the maintenance team member.

  • Coordinates shift staffing, including, vacation scheduling and the coordination of labor to guarantee the lowest cost.

    Coaches / trains and on-boards new team members. Builds technical and business competencies.

    Interacts cross functionally with other areas to share resources and support total plant objectives (including, but not limited to, Material Mgmt, QA, HR, product to packaging development, facilities maintenance, engineering etc).

    Maintenance (TPM) initiatives, including AM progression, pillar project teams, Leads and or facilitates Total Productive and root cause analysis

    Manages time and attendance for production team

Addi ional Requirements

  • Minimum required certifications required to do the job - high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Three years manufacturing/industrial experience or equivalent education
