What you’ll do
Write change control definition and hardware specifications for improving the robustness, compliance, usability or the manufacturing of existing devices.
Perform hardware development activities, including mechanical and electrical design development, prototyping and hands-on experiments in the lab.
Demonstrate compliance to requirements through verification and validation activities including assessment through modelling or qualitative/quantitative testing with statistical rigor, and evaluate the performance with focus on quality and compliance.
Participate in maintaining the hardware product documentation updated (i.e. DHF)
Get knowledgeable about cell therapy biomanufacturing or evolving engineering technologies in the field of cell therapies
Work in close collaboration with project management, engineering and scientific teams and external partners to keep instruments up-to-date.
Work in close interaction with other relevant stakeholders such as production, supply chain, quality, marketing, external suppliers and end-users
Mitigate technical risks, deliver on-time, communicate effectively and resolve conflicts and encourage constructive dialogue in project teams
Ensure compliance with ISO9001, 21 CFR Part 11 or other relevant standards.
Who you are
University degree or equivalent in scientific or engineering fields (mechanical, electrical, mechatronic engineering or equivalent). Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree with minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
Experience working in product care, product development, and in manufacturing science and technology ideally involving hardware technologies in life science or medical fields.
Well-founded understanding in hardware engineering including mechanical and electrical engineering disciplines, complemented by basic understanding of biomanufacturing processes and human cell biology
Successful experience with product care activities including definition of comprehensive sub-systems requirements, hardware architecture, mechanical and electrical design, verification and validation planning and execution under a quality management system
Passionate about technologies, reading and absorbing scientific or engineering publications.
Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate (oral, written) across global, cross-cultural, cross-functional teams and stakeholders
Practical experience of technical standards such as ISO 61326, ISO 61010, ISA-88/95, etc.
Knowledge and practical experience of relevant regulations (ISO 9001, 21 CFR Part 11)
Customer-oriented mindset, autonomous at work, good organizational skills, creative, and comfortable with change
Fluent in English, a second language is a plus
