Aston Carter Accounts Payable Specialist in Greenwood Village, Colorado

Job Title: Accounts Payable SpecialistJob Description

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our dynamic accounting team. This role involves processing approximately 500 invoices per week, handling urgent payment requests, and issuing payments daily. The ideal candidate will manage multiple tasks simultaneously, handle challenges with a positive attitude, and maintain high attention to detail. Responsibilities include reviewing invoices, monitoring priority check requests, acting as a liaison between corporate and field, answering vendor inquiries, maintaining accounts payable reports, distributing signed checks, creating ACH uploads, and assisting in monthly closings. The role also involves analyzing accounts to assist vendors in reconciling differences, identifying opportunities to minimize expenses, and following up on outstanding security deposits.

Hard Skills

  • 0-3 years in Accounts Payable (ideally 1+ years)

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 18 Week(s).

Work Site

This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Greenwood Village, Colorado and some days remote.

Work Environment

The accounting department consists of 20 people, with 5 on the AP team. There are ample opportunities for advancement. Initially, the role requires on-site work in the DTC office until fully trained (approximately 30 days), after which there is the potential to work from home 2-3 days a week based on agreement with management. The team culture is very close-knit, with regular appreciation weeks and team events, emphasizing a collaborative and positive approach.
