Job Description

Insight Global is looking for Mechanical Design Engineers to join their Turbine Module Design Liaison Engineering team. This can be a remote role, but the client is also interested in candidates local to Greenville, SC who would be willing to come onsite. The daily responsibilities include:

* Creating Qualification standards in alignment with Global Supply Chain and Engineering

* Managing dates and scope for equipment purchases, installation, and qualification

* Attending/Facilitating Kaizens and Roadmaps to support the capacity ramp

* This position requires strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills as well as a passion for quality and continuous improvement.

* Lead qualifications from inception to closure, parts and special processes (coatings, brazing, etc.)

* Apply knowledge of design and manufacturing to implement new ideas that enhance overall qualification process, reduce cost and add value.

* Identify and implement qualification cost out opportunities

* Regional, and in some cases, global: shop support

* Cultivate positive working environment and morale; drive a sense of urgency and quality with speed

Skills and Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or Engineering related degree)

Strong background with CAD Software (NX Unigraphics preferred)

2-8 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering role focused on design and project management

Strong background in manufacturing environment

Familiar with Ansys, PLM (Siemens preferred) and MS Office Suite null
