What You Will Be Doing

As the Industrial Engineering Manager at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Greenville, SC, you will lead a team of Industrial Engineers in optimizing production processes, improving facility layouts, and enhancing operational efficiency. Your role will involve analyzing workflows, managing resources, and driving continuous improvements in cost control, inventory management, and production systems. You will also be responsible for team leadership, including recruitment, training, and performance management, while ensuring safety standards and compliance are met. Working closely with facilities engineers, you’ll contribute to the design and modification of production facilities to support long-term operational success.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the design and analysis of workflows and plant layouts to improve the efficiency of production facilities and equipment utilization.

- Oversee recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and career development of the Industrial Engineering team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.

- Conduct and supervise studies focused on cost reduction, inventory management, and production efficiency, ensuring the successful implementation of improvement programs.

- Implement accident prevention measures and manage training programs to ensure safety, compliance, and high-quality production standards across all phases of operations.

- Work with facilities engineers to plan and design facility modifications that support production improvements and long-term operational success.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree with 7 years of professional experience, Masters degree with 5 years of professional experience, or 12 years experience with no Bachelors Degree

Experience with Industrial Engineering principles.

Experience in solving complex problems associated with aerospace manufacturing

Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Proficient with Business Intelligence software such as Power BI or Tableau.

Experience communicating and interacting with Technical Operations, Manufacturing members, and all other stakeholders.

Desired Skills:

Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification

Strong understanding of scheduling concepts

Strong understanding of Earned Value Management and Estimate at Completion budgeting concepts

Strong interpersonal skills to recruit, lead, guide, coach, and inspire a team to be their best

Ability to dive into Industrial Engineering processes to help provide instruction and set expectations to all individual contributors within scope.

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
