Circuit Board Medics Electronics Repair Technician in Greenville, South Carolina

Job Type: Full-Time, Hourly

Minimum Starting Pay: $18/hour 

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 7 AM  - 4 PM 

Location: Greenville, SC 29615​​

    Job Description 

    You will work in a repair pod setting using primarily soldering irons to rebuild and repair automotive or appliance electronic modules. In your role, you will be expected to demonstrate your soldering abilities to ensure you meet our quality standards.  As an Electronics Repair Technician, you will work in a repair pod (team of similar technicians) where you will independently perform basic troubleshooting, replace faulty electronic components, and complete rework on existing circuit boards to upgrade and enhance them to be better than new, with support from your team when needed. In this position, you will play a key role in supporting our fast-paced work and high quality results, directly impacting the quality of product that our customers receive. 

     

    Responsibilities

  • Working in a team setting repairing production orders for customers using soldering irons

  • Could include working with chemicals (with proper PPE)

  • Performing preventative maintenance on equipment

  • Operating specialized equipment

  • Working with Shipping & Receiving to ensure orders are shipped on time

    Skills

  • Electronics component identification

  • Thru-hole and surface mount soldering

  • IC/processor soldering

  • Advanced soldering technique and quality

  • Intermediate electronics troubleshooting

  • Use of semi-automated machines

  • Pre and final testing of repairs

  • Ability to notate repair notes to communicate effectively

  • Intermediate programming knowledge

  • Ability to read electronics schematics

  • Basic computer skills
