Childcare Accommodations Specialist | Greenville
Sunshine House Early Learning Academy is seeking a Childcare Accommodations Specialist to review and expedite special accommodations requests made by families during the enrollment process and after admissions. The position is based in Greenville, SC at the company headquarters. Periodic visits to centers, conferences, and professional development may be required, but should be limited. We are hiring immediately, and would love to meet you!
Pay Range: $17-$19 per hour, based on experience, education, and credentials.

Responsibility Highlights:
Timely review of special accommodations requests made by families during the enrollment process and after admissions, and make enrollment decisions based on requested accommodations.
Conduct monthly spot-check reviews of current center accommodations.
Conduct monthly professional development with new center directors concerning the accommodations process.
Provide consultation and training for early educators to interpret and implement accommodation plans and medical action plans for children with special health care needs.
Requirements
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in early childhood education, social work, psychology, pediatric health care, or a related field.
At least 2-5 years of experience working with children.
Comprehensive knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Basic understanding of licensing regulations related to meals, immunizations, first aid procedures, and related accommodations.
Exceptional knowledge of developmentally-appropriate practices in early childhood.
Exceptional knowledge of widely-held expectations for children served in early care settings.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to evaluate and solve problems.
Demonstrated ability to successfully complete work with minimal supervision.
Proficient computer skills.
