GE Vernova AMRT HA Combustion Repair Senior Engineer in Greenville, South Carolina

Job Description Summary

As part of the Advanced Manufacturing and Repair Technology CoE, the Advanced Machine Repair Engineer role is responsible for the engineering ownership of advanced combustion components for services, focusing on Micromixer and Unibody technology initiatives. This person will work in a hands-on environment in the Repair Development Center, a dedicated development laboratory with full size industrial equipment including conventional and non-conventional machining, brazing and welding, inspection, thermal spray, robotics, and other technologies. In this role, coordination with the Repair Value Stream teams is required to create standardized combustion repairs for contractual and transactional services fulfilment and growth.

Job Description

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

  • Develop, drive and industrialize new fleet repair technology for the services network

  • Develop and industrialize new combustion repair process technology to be implemented in repair strategy

  • Lead projects to directly impact productivity and fulfillment efforts

  • Work with RDC and service center engineers to perform repair process technology jugular testing in the RDC or in the shop

  • Establish and maintain inspection criteria for advanced gas turbine components

  • Support component related readiness to serve needs for global service centers

  • Substantiation of service centers repair process qualifications/certifications

  • Interface with MPE/Design engineering and lead design reviews for repair development

  • Drive a culture of One Team by partnering with adjacent organizations/stakeholders

  • Deliver operational commitments and key process indicator targets

  • Improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost of GE products within team’s scope

  • Implement lean methodologies including standard work, standard product, and kaizen

  • Mentor and develop team members in our organization and our interfacing groups

  • Acts as our technical or domain resource for others in the organization and our customers, often creating and providing training for interfacing groups

  • Make personal and team learning a priority

Qualifications/Requirements:

Applicants must meet these qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Materials Engineering, Materials Science, or related engineering field of study from an accredited college or university

  • Minimum of 8 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing, Services, repair, or design environment

  • Strong mechanical design and analytical background with familiarity in manufacturing processes

  • Travel to repair centers, customer sites, and other locations as needed globally (10%)

Desired:

  • Master’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university

  • Lean training or equivalent quality training

  • Ability and established track record to drive projects to completion

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with demonstrated ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization and external customers

For U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, the base pay range for this position is $111,200.00 - 148,300.00 - 185,400.00 USD Annual

The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.

This position is also eligible for a variable incentive bonus of 15%
