Description
We are offering a contract for a permanent position as an Accounts Receivable Specialist in Greenville, South Carolina. As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, your main duties will revolve around maintaining customer accounts, processing customer applications, and resolving any relevant inquiries.
Responsibilities
• Carry out accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications.
• Ensure the maintenance of precise customer credit records.
• Handle the posting of all incoming payments to the correct customer or General Ledger accounts within ERP systems.
• Conduct research to resolve payments without remittances and ensure their proper application.
• Undertake reconciliation of cash receipts between bank accounts and ERP systems.
• Confirm the accuracy and validity of deductions or discounts.
• Collaborate with the Collections department to pinpoint and rectify misapplied, duplicate, or overpayments.
• Aid in the research and resolution of unapplied cash.
• Uphold records and reports of bank statements, payments, and remittances.
• Utilize skills in Accounts Receivable (AR), Billing Functions, Cash Applications, Remittance, Post Payments, Cash Posting, General Ledger, and Deductions
Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounts Receivable role within a manufacturing context, preferably in machinery manufacturing.
• Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) processes, including the ability to effectively manage and reconcile complex accounts.
• Demonstrated experience with billing functions, including the creation, issuance, and follow-up of invoices.
• Solid understanding and experience with cash applications, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payments.
• Proven ability to handle remittance tasks, including the receipt, recording, and reconciliation of payments.
• Experience in post payments procedures, ensuring that all payments are correctly recorded and posted to the appropriate accounts.
• Skills in cash posting, including the accurate and timely posting of cash receipts to the correct customer accounts.
• Familiarity with general ledger functions, including the maintenance and reconciliation of ledger accounts.
• Experience dealing with deductions, including the management, resolution, and prevention of unauthorized or disputed deductions.
