THIEL COLLEGE Head Softball Coach in Greenville, Pennsylvania

Thiel College seeks a Head Softball Coach. The Head Softball Coach is responsible for all aspects of the intercollegiate softball program while holistically developing student-athletes to be leaders Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Oversee the softball program and supervise the day-to-day operations. • Teach/instruct their student-athletes in their designated sport (primary duty of all coaches). • Monitor student-athlete's academic performance and social behavior. • Recruit, retain, and graduate quality student-athletes for Thiel College and the athletic program.   • Develop and implement a strategic recruiting plan - Consistently meet or exceed recruiting goals - Maintain target roster sizes. • Maintain allotted budget. • Coordinate with the Director of Athletics fundraising activities. • Develop a competitive competition schedule in conjunction with the Director of Athletics. • Coordinate and implement community service activities. • Mentor and develop assistant coaches. • Serve as a positive role model for student-athletes. • Serve on campus committees as needed. • Serve as a gameday administrator. • Serve as facilities monitor of all Thiel College athletic facilities as directed by the Director of Athletics. • Follow all rules and guidelines set forth by the NCAA Division III, the Presidents Athletic Conference, and Thiel College.   • Perform other administrative duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics. Applicants are required to have a minimum of a bachelor's degree or equivalent. A master's degree is preferred. 2-3 years of coaching experience at the college level. Competence in athletics management and leadership, an understanding of student-athlete development, and a deep commitment to the values the College and department promotes.
