Job Description:

We approach problems with creativity and innovation. The Greensboro, NC office is seeking a Staff/Senior Staff Structural Engineer to join our growing practice. We are looking for a motivated candidate with attention to detail, a passion to continue to develop as a professional, and a desire to be part of a strong team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform stability analyses, reinforced concrete design, and steel design for water and earth retaining structures associated with dams, spillways, buildings, and other hydraulic structures

  • Prepare design drawings, reports, and technical specifications

  • Perform inspections of dams and hydraulic structures

  • Provide periodic construction observation and consultation

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Strong work ethic and desire to perform professionally at a high level

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited university

  • Experience with computer-aided structural analysis

  • Willingness and ability to perform field work and travel

  • Ability to lift 60 pounds and be physically able to negotiate construction sites, enter trenches, climb ladders and work outside in various weather conditions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant work experience of up to 3 years in structural engineering

  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, and Bluebeam

  • Master's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited university

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to pass a background check which may include criminal history, motor vehicle record and credit check

  • Ability to pass a pre-employment screening
