Vontier Quality Supervisor – MGF support Areas in Greensboro, North Carolina

The Quality Supervisor of Manufacturing Support Areas provides leadership, direction, and hands on involvement regarding Non- Conforming Material, Detention, Verification and Warranty Return Material Authorization operations.

This individual will directly supervise a team of union hourly associates (governed by the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA)). This position will be based out of Gilbarco Veeder-Root’s (the “Company”) corporate headquarters in Greensboro, NC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and Maintain Standard Operating Procedures, Training Matrices, & Area KPI’s

  • Drive Policy Deployment objectives for respective areas

  • Coach, Develop, and Encourage continuous improvement for all operational aspects to achieve optimum performance

  • Ensure proper workforce & Prioritize workloads

  • Maintain Corrective Action timelines, Drive urgency

  • Utilize statistical methods and Root Cause Analysis (PSP/PSR) for Continuous Improvements

  • Develop and Maintain part validation methods

  • Lead NCM/MRB & Containment activities as needed

  • Monitor and Report on quality metrics and progress toward quality goals including, Scrap, Detention Inventory, Time on Hand, etc.

  • Lead ISO compliance for assigned areas and participate as an Internal Auditor for the entire organization

  • Lead/Participate in Kaizen events

  • Ensure & Maintain PCI Compliance

  • Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 2 Year Technical degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in the field of Metrology

  • 3-5 Years of experience in a Manufacturing or Industrial environment

  • 3-5 Years of applied experience in Inspection, GD&T and Metrology

  • Must be computer literate in Microsoft Office and Windows® applications.

  • Must have proven experience demonstrating excellent problem-solving skills, and creativity in developing sound technical solutions to business problems.

  • Must have consistently demonstrated the ability to solve and document complex cross departmental issues using structured problem-solving tools.

  • Must be able to work individually and in teams.

  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills for internal and external customers

  • Strong interpersonal skills with co-workers and customers

  • Effective organizational skills with particular attention to detail
