Job Code: Manufacturing Technician

Purpose: A technician supporting manufacturing with advanced contributions and supporting process engineering with various technical tasks in the fab.

SUMMARY:

This technician role supports manufacturing with advanced contributions and supporting process engineering with various technical tasks in the fab.

This non-exempt position requires working a compressed work week schedule from 6:50am to 7pm OR 6:50pm to 7am 3 to 4 days per week to support production lines in a SAW/GaAs semiconductor fabrication facility.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Run production material when not working on the tasks below.

Work closely with the operations and engineering teams to perform product dispositions (holds). Set-up and qualify semiconductor process equipment.

Coach, train, and assist factory operators to enhance productivity.

Support scrap investigations.

Diagnose and resolve process problems by following documented procedures.

Review and respond to statistical process control charts.

Identify and address potential areas for improvement relating to safety, quality, output, and cost.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or GED required, Associates degree or above in a STEM discipline is preferred.

3+ years of experience working in a semiconductor manufacturing facility is preferred.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact effectively with operations, equipment support, and engineering in a dynamic, team-based environment.

Possess an understanding of DoE, SPC, and other statistical tools/methods.

This factory position requires wearing cleanroom attire and protective equipment; bending, twisting, lifting up to 25 pounds, and standing for extended periods of time during a 12 hour shift will be required.
