What you will do

If you want to be a part of an exciting Market Intelligence team where you can drive and execute on goals for the Volvo Truck and Mack Truck Brand, come join us! You will have the opportunity to work with research data analyzing for key insights and then communicating your results to key stakeholders within the company. Customer satisfaction is what we strive for throughout the organization. In this role you will work with the customer experience manager, learning how to use the survey platform and document the process. You will get experience applying the tools and skills within your major to a real-world professional environment.

For this position, it is preferable for candidates to be on site for at least 2 – 3 days per week working up to 30 hours a week during the spring 2025 semester The specific working schedule will be agreed upon with the hiring manager.

The spring internship starts January 20, 2025.

The Intern – Market Intelligence will:

  • Analyze customer trends and opportunity leveraging customer experience (CX) data

  • Support deep dive studies on strategic customer focus areas.

  • Review and clean market customer key data that will feed reports across the company.

  • Help update process and workflows and support continuous improvement.

  • Design surveys, analyze results and create dashboards.

  • Update internal communications content for Market Intelligence team.

  • Support with other Market Intelligence in day-to-day activities including research and analysis related to the economy, truck industry, suppliers, customers, etc.

Who are you?

  • Applicants must be pursuing a Business and/or Marketing curriculum (or related are of study) and have completed 30 semester hours prior to the start of the internship. You must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75.

  • To be the perfect match for this role, your critical competencies will include:

  • Detailed oriented. Collects data and delivers detailed reports.

  • Ability to analyze and summarize information, identifying patterns/trends and significance.

  • Creative thinking and willingness to find novel solutions with an emphasis on delivering high-quality work.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams.

  • A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques.

  • Self-starter with the ability to prioritize critical tasks, as well as deliver on assignments within deadlines.

This position is located in Greensboro, North Carolina, and includes a hybrid working arrangement, pending work demands or activities

For all intern and co-op positions, the hourly range is set at $16.00 - $46.00. The hourly rate for these roles is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, academic classification, and degree seeking area of study.
