The Finance Graduate Program is an entry-level rotational program designed to provide recent college graduates with an opportunity to work in challenging environments while learning how our organization provides complete transport solutions. Eligible candidates will have a graduation date between May 2022 and May 2024.

This Program does not offer current or future sponsorship. Individuals with temporary visas or who require sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future are not eligible for the program.

The Finance Graduate program

If you are up for the challenge of developing our future Finance function and want to be a part of the innovative world of Volvo Group, this is the graduate program for you!

During 12 intense months, you will get an end-to-end perspective of our Finance functions and how we co-drive the business, both from a local as well as from a Volvo Group perspective. From day one, you will have a permanent role in one of our organizations, where you will play an active role in daily deliveries. In parallel, you will participate in a number of common training weeks with the other Finance graduates throughout the year, do various job rotations to increase your insights of the Volvo Group and last but not least you will grow as a person. Your professional and personal growth will be supported through individual and team development sessions, mentoring, coaching and feedback.

You will take a deep dive into some specific areas of our business, which will help you get a holistic view and build your future career within the Volvo Group. Besides your manager, who will guide and support you in your daily job, you will have a supportive network of peer graduates, colleagues across the globe and senior leaders to help you excel. This is us, your new team:

A team of analysts and controllers that deliver quality assured financials and KPI:s along with analysis of the manufacturing cost in a timely and efficient manner. The analysis includes actuals and standard cost as well as estimates of future outcomes. We secure that the operation is measured and followed-up in a relevant way with the purpose to minimize the overall investments and manufacturing cost for the Volvo Group. We identify cost savings opportunities and work cross-functionally to optimize communication and activities.

Main activities and responsibilities:

You will take an active role in our work to realign the overall business follow-up model to be more decentralized and customer oriented. Activities include analyzing parts of the existing follow-up model and identifying gaps versus the wanted position, implementing changes by updating master data in financial applications and designing new reports for follow-up and analysis. In addition, there will be opportunities to take on regular closing tasks to get a detailed understanding of the day-to-day work in a business control department.

Who are you?

To be successful in this role you will possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • BSc or MSc in business administration specialized in business control or accounting

  • Maximum two years of previous working experience, prior to or after graduation.

  • Structured with great analytical skills.

  • Customer and business-oriented mind-set

  • A communicative team player with the ambition to develop both yourself and the team.

  • Digitalization – strong interest and abilities in data analytics including visualization tools with focus on turning data into decision information
