Vontier Continuous Improvement Lead in Greensboro, North Carolina

In this onsite role, your primary focus is driving innovation using lean principles at the Greensboro facility. You will lead efforts to streamline processes, eliminate waste, and improve efficiency through your deep understanding of lean tools, strong analytical skills, and passion for driving results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partners with key leaders in the transformation of the Greensboro site’s operations

  • Establish standardized tools and processes that can be repeated and used in other sites or regions across Gilbarco

  • Ties company strategy to initiatives to help prioritize work and ensure results align with key departmental deliverables.Understands where to deploy efforts to solve the most critical business problems first.

  • Leads the organization via Vontier Business Systems (VBS); provides strategic leadership to the organization through advanced knowledge of VBS tools and processes

  • Impacts the achievement of the organization's business and operational goals, driving the use of VBS tools and procedures. Can show impact on the bottom line and ROI of VBS support and guidance

  • Working closely with functional counterparts, develop an action plan to address pain points

  • Has a strong understanding of Quality requirements, metrics, and processes aligned with their area of expertise, e.g. Operations or Product Development

  • Can link deficiencies in the organization to process gaps or inefficiencies, including those that cross departments/functions

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Industrial Engineering or a related field

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in an operational, engineering or continuous improvement role – preferably hands-on experience in applying lean principles to get business outcomes

  • Has a high bias to action, tends to find solutions to problems proactively and acts independently with a high sense of ownership

  • Transparent style of working and tends to build trust-based relationships with others

  • Able to collect, analyze and interpret data to track performance, see trends and develop insights to drive change

  • Demonstrate basic problem solving skills to be able to address complex issues; the capability to write and use A3s would be a plus

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with diverse audiences, training / coaching, consulting / influencing, teamwork across disciplines and cultures.

  • Experience working with and collaborating across global and cross-functional teams.

  • Experience in Voice of Customer, Customer Journey Mapping, and Value Proposition Development.

  • Experience working in an agile environment interfacing with technical teams to translate Product concepts into reality through an iterative learning process.
