MILLER/GREENEVILLE INC Install Supervisor - 217 in GREENEVILLE, Tennessee

Pay Range: $50,000.00 -70,000.00

Summary

Supervises activities of workers engaged in frame drilling, electronic, and hydraulic installation

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesOther duties may be assigned.

  • Inspects installations to verify that systems are functioning, meet specifications, and are prepared for the dress-out process.
  • Requisitions materials required to meet production goals.
  • Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
  • Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
  • Interprets specifications, drawings, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties.
  • Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
  • Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
  • Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of department or work station.
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
  • Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
  • Maintains time and production records.
  • Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
  • Performs activities of employees supervised

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Directly supervises employees in the Install Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required, 2-year Associates Degree in a relevant field of studypreferred; minimum 5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Must be proficient with common hand tools, measuring instruments and all other tools that are present within the department. It ispreferredthat the candidate be proficient in LN; Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word. Additional computer skills will be required for this position -including Timekeeping Programs, Performance Management, Job Requisition Requests, Personnel Change Requests and more.
